National Account Manager
Real Drinks Group (RDGL) is an award winning distributor and retailer founded in 2005 with extensive experience in beer, wine and spirits and the wider drinks market, working with the best brewers & producers from around the world.
RDGL incorporates Beer Britannia, a significant supplier of beer to all of the UK Off Trade. They represent and manage sales and distribution for a number of well-known regional brewers and a growing number of craft beer and alcohol free brands, who outsource all their sales, order capture, and fulfilment of their drinks supply for all Supermarket, Convenience and Route to Market customers via Beer Britannia.
The Role
We are looking for someone to help us develop sales of ale, craft and alcohol free beers for us and our partners, within the UK Off Trade. This is truly a business wide role – you will be mainly working within the commercial team, but the flat structure of the business means that you will be working closely with Finance, Supply Chain, and Technical teams as well. This role may well suit you if you are in a junior role at a larger company and want to show what you can do in an independent business with more autonomy.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with key brewer partners to create brand and sales plans
- Managing all off trade customers including grocery multiples, convenience, route to market and discounters, to sell in these brands, to drive sales through promotion and distribution
- Identifying and developing relationships with new brewers that would fit the portfolio
- Management of P&L by brewer / customer
- Forecasting and assisting brewers in managing production
- Driving NPD which is suitable for the market
- Working with finance, supply chain, and technical
- Use market data to identify opportunities
Skills, knowledge and experience
- Good numeracy and analytical skills are essential
- Previous sales or account management experience is essential
- Well organised with a keen eye for detail and proven ability to multi-task is a must
- Excellent communicator – both verbally and in writing
- Ability to thrive and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-changing work environment
- Confident and pro-active with a self-motivated approach to work
- Excellent customer focus and stakeholder management skills
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook/Teams)
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
- Customer management in food or drink: 2 years (preferred)
- Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (required)

Shop Manager
Our independent shop and taproom in Maida Vale is a community hub which celebrates the very best of the drinks world. Specialising in craft beer, natural wine, spirits and other quality-focused drinks from small producers, we pride ourselves on our friendly service and welcoming atmosphere.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Manager to join our experienced team in Maida Vale. This is an exciting and varied role that will give you the opportunity to be fully responsible for a successful and growing business. You will work 40 hours a week, including some evenings and weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver the highest level of service to our customers
- Manage and motivate a small team to ensure a consistently great level of service and a place where people want to visit
- Take full responsibility for the performance and day-to-day operations of the shop (receiving deliveries, processing invoices, merchandising)
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the shop
- Oversee and control the shop’s P&L (with the line Manager) - including defining and respecting sales targets and purchasing budgets
- Purchase all the shop’s products and ensure the shelves and fridges are constantly stocked with an exciting and diverse selection
- Identify gaps in the range and stay on top of new trends to ensure we always stock the best products
- Organise the monthly rota for the whole team
- Form and nurture positive relationships with suppliers and customers
- Organise in-shop events and create relevant content for our Instagram
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Experience in retail or hospitality, capable of delivering top class customer service and willing to get stuck in to get things done
- Have a track record of team leadership, operations management and motivation in inspiring staff to deliver excellence to customers and in-shop operations
- Friendly, outgoing with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Experience in the drinks industry and/or strong knowledge about craft beer, wine and/or spirits
- Strategic and operational with a hands-on approach
- Proactive, flexible and able to solve problems quickly
- Capable of prioritising and delegating tasks
- Able to lift 30L kegs and cases of wine & beer
